The Siemens Nixdorf 2140 Electronic Printing System uses electrophotography and an LED PLUS imaging system to produce unsurpassed print quality. Advances controller electronics offer a host of features designed to deliver enhanced functionality without incurring the overhead and expense of AFP. This continues our commitment to Enhanced Mode Printing as offered on our existing printers. Advantages over competing systems include AFP-like features such as the ability to print with variable character densities from 6 to 20 characters per inch, extended memory to hold up to 46 character sets printable on a single page, and extended line spacing of 6, 8, 10 and 12 lines per inch. Also included are two ways to print Electronic Forms: a fast-loading Forms Overlay Buffer, and the new Electronic Forms Overlay feature. Using either or both of these two features, variable data can be merged with forms designs and printed simultaneously. |

The 2240 Electronic Printing System is the fastest member of the Siemens Nixdorf LED PLUS printer family. Uniting excellent print quality, top output speed and economy, it delivers overall results that are totally unprecedented in professional dp printing.
High-profile business documents make a key contribution to building your corporate image. Even if you print millions of pages per month, there is no need to compromise on the print quality of your documents. The 2240 High Performance Printing System uses the innovative LED PLUS imaging technology which, unlike a laser machine, has no moving parts. At its center is an image generator that is anchored immovably in position. Its thousands of light diodes deliver a razor-sharp, high print width. Gray scales are finely differentiated - from the lightest gray to the densest, richest black. Complex corporate logos, detailed graphics, even the smallest fonts are reproduced in superlative quality. This helps make document archiving more efficient, as you can print two logical pages at a reduced size on one physical page. You will be using half as much paper, half as much space - and be halving your costs at the same time. The excellent print quality also ensures outstanding read rates for barcodes.
